(a) There is an Administrative Board of the Library composed of fourteen members. Seven members are elected by and from the following electoral divisions:
(b) The chair of the faculty appoints six members of the Administrative Board of the Library, as follows:
(c) The University librarian is a member ex officio.

Elected members of the board are nominated and elected by the process employed for the Faculty Council. It is preferable that no more than one elected member be from any single school or department. Student members of the board serve one-year terms. All other appointed and elected members serve three-year terms. No elected or appointed member serves more than two consecutive terms.
The board elects a chair from among its members annually. The board meets at least six times each year upon the call of the chair or of the University librarian.

Subject to the power of the General Faculty and the Faculty Council, the Administrative Board:
1. Resolution 2010-1, Section 2, provides as follows: In the 2010 faculty elections and every three years thereafter, one member shall be elected by the Academic Affairs Libraries electoral division for a three-year term. No members shall be elected by the electoral divisions of Humanities and Fine Arts, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and Social Sciences, in 2010. In the 2011 faculty elections and every three years thereafter, one member each shall be elected by the Division of Humanities and Fine Arts, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and Social Sciences for a term of three years. In the 2012 faculty elections and every three years thereafter, one member each shall be elected by the Division of Humanities and Fine Arts, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and Social Sciences for a term of three years. Incumbent members elected by the former electoral division of Professional Schools in Academic Affairs shall continue to hold officer for the remainder of their terms, but no appointments shall be made to fill vacancies that may occur in those elective positions. All members appointed by the Chair of the Faculty may continue to hold office for the remainder of the terms for which they were appointed. As vacancies occur in those positions and the former electoral division of Professional Schools in Academic Affairs, the Chair of the Faculty shall make new appointments as provided in this Resolution 2010-1.
